About Games for the Future

The aim of Games for the Future In early childhood to foster familiarity, attentiveness, openness, and positive attitudes toward cultural diversity in Israeli society by developing and distributing digital content and persona dolls with the attributes of the various cultural groups in Israel. Experts in developmental psychology, early childhood education, political and organizational psychology, and social activists representing various groups in the Israeli discourse will be involved in the developmental stages. The emphasis in the social products is on a combination of the traditional offline world of the children (dolls) and the online world (digital content). Through the combination of these content worlds, within a few years every Israeli child will know Nur, Naomi, Gil, Shahar, Tom, Noam, and Rona. The idea for Games for the Future grew out of a hackathon for social entrepreneurship for graduates of Friends of the Atidim Society. Our team, consisting of 7 members of diverse backgrounds, has been active since November 2015, together with many Israeli experts in education and psychology as well as representatives of the country’s various social groups, to promote tolerance and acceptance of the other in Israel.
