Gap Year Solutions encourages all students to consider the benefits of “Real World Learning”. Choosing the non-traditional path helps students increase confidence, self-awareness and engagement. Gap Year Solutions works collaboratively with the student and parents to outline a Gap Year plan consistent with the student’s interests and goals. Gap Year Solutions proposes ideas and specific options to fit within the proposed plan and the family’s budget. We will work with the family via phone calls, in person meetings, and emails, and conduct additional research and consultation with program educators and others as needed Katherine Stievater, Founder of Gap Year Solutions, has developed deep expertise from her family’s own gap year and language immersion experiences, and as well as from working with clients, high schools, colleges, programs and advisors across the U.S. The strong connections she creates with families result in honest dialogue and highly customized plans based on students’ interests and goals. She encourages all students to dream big, be authentic and believe in themselves!
