Gateway Association supports people with disabilities find meaningful work, families find trusted support, and employers find inclusive hiring solutions. Since 1975, Gateway has been a trusted resource for families, job seekers, and employers across Alberta. Through our education, mentorship, and one-on-one support programs, we help build the confidence, skills, and connections needed for meaningful inclusion. For families: Our Family Resource Centre offers personalized guidance, workshops, and peer support for parents and caregivers of children and youth with disabilities. We help families navigate complex systems, access vital services, and build long-term plans that reflect their hopes and values. For youth and adult job seekers with disabilities: Our employment programs provide career exploration, skills development, job readiness training, and one-on-one coaching. We work alongside individuals to pursue their employment goals, overcome barriers, and thrive in workplaces where they feel valued. For employers and organizations: We support businesses and service providers in building inclusive workplaces. Through customized training, recruitment support, and inclusive hiring practices, we help employers access a diverse talent pool while fostering environments where everyone can succeed. For the broader community: We create spaces for learning, advocacy, and cross-sector collaboration—bringing together educators, policy makers, service providers, and community leaders to co-create a more equitable Alberta for all.
