Our patented VOC recovery technology is a compact and cost efficient solution to reduce VOC emissions from crude oil tankers. The CVOC® Transport System eliminates VOC emissions from the cargo of Crude Oil tankers during sea voyage by re-absorbing emitted VOC back into the liquid, and thus reducing cargo tank pressure without releasing any gas to the atmosphere. The first CVOC® Transport System was installed in May 2007, and the technology has so far been delivered to 16 vessels, owned by Teekay Shipping, American Eagle Tankers and Knutsen NYK Offshore Tankers. The CVOC® Loading System is based on more than fifteen years of operational experience with the CVOC® Transport System, and efficiently reduces VOC emissions during cargo loading operations on Crude Oil tankers. The CVOC® Loading System will also eliminate emissions from the cargo during offshore transport of crude oil, and can also be used to reduce VOC emissions from FSOs and FPSOs, as well as from shore-based storage facilities with closed tanks.
