GEM Electric LLC, DBA, GEM Pumps and Systems was founded by Jeffrey Grinage in the Spring of 1992 in Oil City, LA. Jeffrey started the business selling and repairing electric motors with only one employee, Jeffrey Grinage. Over the next few years Jeffrey found that our customers' needs were not being met by only focusing on electric motors sales, repairs, and parts alone. Today we sell, service, design, and fabricate complete pump systems specific to our customers' goals and objectives. With more than eighty years of combined experience, our team takes pride in being quality service providers, problem solvers, educators, and innovative design leaders in our industry. Our product offerings include Horizontal Pump packages, Positive Displacement Pump packages, Submersible Pump packages, Multistage Pump packages, Centrifugal Pump packages, VFD’s, SCADA systems, parts and accessories. Our services include pump repair, preventative maintenance programs, and 24/7 support. Our facility, including offices, is seventy-thousand square feet and has a five- and twenty-ton overhead crane to assist in repairs and fabrication. We specialize in three major industries. The Oil and Gas industry with a heavy focus on Midstream applications, including but not limited to Salt Water Disposal (SWD) facilities and Gathering and Processing (G&P) facilities. The Municipal industry with heavy focus on Water Treatment facilities and Wastewater facilities. The Industrial industry with heavy focus on Chemical, Food Processing, Pulp and Paper, Manufacturing, and Commercial applications.
