About Genesee Valley Outdoor Learning Center
As an educational non-profit organization, Genesee Valley has been serving children and adults for over forty years as one of the region’s top team building facilities. Our community provides high quality team building programs that allow companies, classrooms, and sports teams to function more cohesively. Our experiential education program utilizes our extensive challenge course to develop communication, cooperation, healthy risk-taking, leadership, trust, persistence and creative problem solving skills. Our programs offer more than just ‘fun;’ our facilitators debrief participants after activities and use the course to discuss ways to meet obstacles in everyday life. Participants grow through the combination of verbal discussions and physical challenges that we facilitate. We also provide offsite team building programs year-round. In addition to our innovative and unique team building programs, Genesee Valley also offers a Summer Day Camp for children aged 4 through 17. Genesee Valley’s Summer Camp provides a fulfilling summer adventure for campers by focusing on experiential education and dynamics in small groups. Campers enjoy activities such as canoeing, kayaking, swimming, archery, fishing, arts & crafts, and the ropes course. Specialty camps are also offered. Our 150-acre facility is also host to lacrosse, soccer, and field hockey practices and tournaments, trail runs, and family or corporate picnics. Our athletic fields are available for rent. Genesee Valley serves nearly 15,000 individuals annually.
