This represents a completely new approach to obtain accurate real-time information about the subsurface (well & reservoir) response to well-specific changes during an injection operation. The results is a strong increase of injection-efficiency compared with current standards (by 15-20%), consequently leading to an increase in the ultimate oil recovery across the NCS and UKCS by 5-10%. By reducing the operational time and decreasing the dependency on peripherals, as well as preventing subsurface injection leakages, the Geomec solution also has a strong cost and safety impact.
