GeoPrime is a special mobile application for civil construction surveyors that can replace many of expensive field controllers. Its three main functions are automatic rotation and scaling of the drawing on the smartphone screen, as well as automatic element search. To feel the difference between ‘before’ and ‘after' using it it is just enough to download the application to you smartphone. You can put the beam of the total station on any object, press the "Measure" button in the total station menu, GeoPrime application will measure and find out what this element is. Both the point and the line which are usually found in different menu of the total station or in different representations will be immediately shown on the drawing. The setting out on the terrain becomes with GeoPrime much faster and easier. At present designers are working on the interface of the application to meet the demands of its users. GeoPrime Demo version will be available already soon. The earlier version of this solution was represented by the field controller and application GT2 which was successfully used by many civil construction surveyors in Saint-Petersburg and Moscow. It worked with a smartphone, connected to a total station of any brand. Its main functions were: automatic rotation and scaling of the drawing on the screen of the smartphone, as well as automatic search for an element in the drawing. And the system could immediately deliver the received data to the office of the designer or the customer, had a huge potential to use BIM and other advanced technologies. The device had been tested for more than 1.5 years in the field, when its producer Renova Company offered the market a new solution. It is GeoPrime mobile application. All the same functions available, but the system is more convenient. Now it is not necessary to buy the field controller, because the mobile application is quite enough.
