George Stone & Sons Inc. traces its roots back to 1915, when George Stone started his own construction company. In 1945, two of his sons, Edward and William joined their father in a partnership. A third son, Robert started working with the firm in 1950 and became a shareholder in 1965. Harry, Ed’s son began his carpenter’s apprenticeship through the firm in 1966. By 1982 Harry was Vice President of George Stone & Sons and became President of George Stone & Sons Ltd. in 2000. Now in 2012 Harry’s son, Chris has become a shareholder in the new company George Stone & Sons Inc. and currently serves as a director. Rodney , Bill's son started with the firm in 1973. Upon graduation in 1976, Rod worked in various capacities in the field including project superintendent, until 1978 when he accepted a position in the office. While in the office Rod served as chief estimator, sales manager and also Secretary-Treasurer, and began serving as President December 27, 2007 and was elected to serve as President and a director of George Stone & Sons Inc. In 1987 Randy, Bob’s son, joined the firm working his way up to serve as Vice-President, Project Manager, and Project Coordinator and began serving as Treasurer of the firm December 27, 2007 and is presently the Vice President and a director of George Stone & Sons Inc. In 2012 the structure of the company changed when key employees were asked to join in the ownership of the corporation. With over 26 years of experience and a second-generation employee, Rich Alexander has shown competence in running projects on time and on budget. In March of 2012 Richard was elected to serve as a director of George Stone & Sons Inc. In August of 2005 April Foster joined the company as an administrative assistant. April has worked as project manager, assistant project manager, safety coordinator and contract administrator and was elected to serve as Secretary-Treasurer and director of George Stone & Sons Inc.
