About George Washington Street Partners
It started many years ago, but finally became official in 2015. George Washington Street Partners (GWSP), is the culmination of years of creating and enhancing resumes for friends, families, and referrals. It was something I did for fun. Then came the casual coffee meetings with young adults getting ready to graduate with no clue on next steps. No job. No ideas. Sheer panic. Living back at home. Not lazy. Not unskilled. Just afraid and overwhelmed. I asked a few questions about dreams, passions, skills. Some brilliant answers with inspiring vision. But no practical steps on how to get there. GWSP was born. 20+ years post college, this line of work is MY dream, MY passion, and for me, MY calling. Nothing brings me greater joy than working with people who have unearthed skills & talents that can translate into a job or career. We are a full service organization, coaching through resume and LinkedIn enhancement, mock interviewing, goals setting, informational interviewing, and networking. Our goal is to provide the tools and resources necessary for pursuing an individual’s professional endeavors. We started as a boutique career coaching firm for recent college grads, but we have expanded into working with every age demographic. Additionally, we have grown into a boutique placement firm, with select partners that we choose to work with based upon shared values and ethics. Everything we do is relationally based. We source for our candidates through our extensive network base. We are unique in that we provide on going coaching for placed candidates to ensure a smooth transition and mutual success of the placement. Because each organization is unique, there is no cookie cutter contract. We listen to the client. We advise. We listen some more. As with our coaching, we help to create a vision of the position, and how it fits into the bigger picture of your organization. Then we get to work.
