Georges Hair Designs was founded in Greenville, NC in 1980 by Georges Naoum. The name of the salon reflects the name of the founder without an apostrophe to match the French spelling of “Georges”. After working and educating in beauty for years, George decided to open the salon to bring a higher level of sophistication and professionalism to the local beauty industry. Since its beginning, the salon has sought to develop, educate, and build stylists into professionals that are valued by the community. Georges Hair Designs is proud to have employed and developed or inspired many of our area’s stylists and salon owners. For almost 40 years, the salon has maintained its tradition of excellence and standing in the community by maintaining core principles: Team Mentality Consistency Clear and Transparent Pricing Focus on Guest Needs & Quality Professionalism & Cleanliness While you may see Georges Naoum in the salon from time to time, he no longer does hair services, although we still have many guests from his styling days that want him to return to doing hair. The salon is family run by Alex Naoum and Paul Naoum, Georges’s sons, who run operations and salon education respectively. The family also founded a cosmetology school in 2009, Alexander Paul Institute of Hair Design, as a part of the original mission to develop and progress the beauty industry in the area. Georges Hair Designs is the longest operating large salon in Greenville. Since 1980, the salon has operated in Greenville Mall. The Stanton Square location has been open since 1983.
