About Georgia Southern Society Of Black Engineers (NSBE GSU)

We proudly represent the National Society of Black Engineers as the collegiate chapter at Georgia Southern University, an organization that has been a beacon of excellence since its establishment in 1992. Over the past three decades, our chapter has grown and evolved, emerging stronger and more vibrant than ever before. We are dedicated to fulfilling NSBE's mission: ‘to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.’ Through a variety of events, programs, and initiatives, we serve both Georgia Southern and the Statesboro community while fostering a culture of innovation, diversity, and academic achievement. Under the leadership of our President, Jaylen Monroe, this year we are focused on growing our chapter by spreading NSBE's mission and values across campus. The theme for our chapter for the 2025-2026 school year is S.C.A.L.E: S – Strengthen Community C – Create Opportunities A – Aspire Boldly L – Lead with Vision E – Elevate Everyone We are committed to continuing the legacy of developing exceptional leaders, and we strive to help you do the same.
