About GeoSkinner

I am Dr Chris Skinner FRGS, Geoscience Games Master, researcher, and content creator. I help people develop and apply their imagination as a skill. Newsletter: In Imagination Engines I explore the worlds of modelling, gaming, and neurodiversity, sharing the lessons I learn about imagination and its power as a skill. YouTube: I post a range of content relating to geoscience and games. Games for Geoscience: I convene the world's largest gathering of geoscience gamers at the (unofficial) Geoscience Games Day at the European Geoscience Union General Assembly. I also lead community activities, including the Games for Geoscience website and LinkedIn group. Practical SciComm workshops: I am developing a range of workshop aimed at developing imagination as a skill and creative problem solving. I use creative methods and mediums, including those inspired by the LEGO(TM) SERIOUSPLAY(TM) methods. Adventures in Model Land: I lead the development of an open access system that helps numerical modellers imagine their model lands as game worlds. It is inspired by Escape from Model Land (Thompson, 2019). You can find more details and links to all my work on my website.
