LawCo has launched its flagship website and app for iOS and Android; designed to connect Cook County lawyers with residents in need of legal representation, in real time and on demand. Created and founded by Chicago native, lawyer Lauren Glennon, the LawCo app provides Chicagoland lawyers a new method of generating business leads. It also provides those in need of legal assistance access to qualified lawyers in a simple, streamlined way. LawCo works simply from both the user side and the lawyer side: To connect with a lawyer, app users download the app or visit the website, register, enter their court date and courthouse, select their case type, and click submit. The goal of the LawCo app is to connect users to an available lawyer in as little as 15 minutes. There is also an option to contact a lawyer for general legal advice, using similar criteria; advice type sought, and location. For lawyers: The lawyer will create an account that is then cross checked with the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission. Once this verification process is complete, the lawyers can create filters to specify their availability and preferences. After a person in need sends out a request for legal help, the LawCo app will send lawyers lead alerts. The lawyer, upon determining that he or she can assist, will be prompted to check out and pay to connect to the lead. After which, lawyers can contact the lead and message back and forth within the LawCo app. LawCo provides lawyers (and app users) with an email transcript of all messages. LawCo is committed to helping people in Cook County obtain the legal representation they need and deserve.
