About Get Your Wig On
Hello! My name is Jamie Redman and I am the owner of Get Your Wig On. Our home office is located in Jacksonville, Florida but we first became an officially licensed business on March 21, 2013 in Huntington, WV – yes, I am a West Virginia Girl! I have always had a passion for beauty and hair. Living in a professionally under-serviced area, I traveled to get my hair done. One day I could not afford the expense so I bought my first wig (her name was Carmen), I was in love. I’ve always wanted to help other women feel as good about their self as I did therefore I went to school, acquired a degree in Business Administration, and started my own business. Anyone can feel great with a wig or weave but when I spent some time in the hospital a while back, I met some ladies who were fighting cancer. I knew when I started my business that I wanted it to stand for the empowerment of women and who better to support than these warriors. I began sponsoring cancer awareness events locally and eventually attracted the attention of the Mayor and received a proclamation on December 14, 2013 making this day the official Get Your Wig On Day.
