About GetIT - Green Energy Technology & Infocommunications Technology

GETIT ("GET-IT") is an organization that capitalizes communication technology as a tool for human transformation. We provide consulting services and training that focus on capacity and capabilities development. These include workshops on Exponential Organizations, the Gear Up Program, Social Enterprise, strategic planning, product planning, and business development. Our customers have included companies of all sizes, including governments, non-profits, and UN agencies. GETIT provides mentorship and incubation services for new organizations. GETIT started in 1993 as “Global Empowerment Through Information Technology.” In the early years, it focused on bridging the digital divide through policy development. In 2007, the founders realized that energy poverty was critical to the continued progress to eliminate communications poverty. At that time, GETIT added sustainable “green” energy to its mission – focusing on two parts – Green Energy Technology & Info-communications Technology (i.e. “GETIT”). Today GETIT focuses on new technology ventures, Green ICT, Telecommunications Policy, Network Security/ Resiliency, and empowerment needed to maintain a sustainably growing Internet for all.
