About Ghana Educational Collaborative
Goal: To support students who demonstrate exceptional educational promise by offering them opportunities in education that they would otherwise not have due to finances. GEC’s goal is to fundraise for, and provide leadership training opportunities, in order to alter the trajectory of enrolled students to positively impact their education and their future. Mission: The Ghana Educational Collaborative provides support to exceptional students with significant financial need. We will provide academic scholarships, mentorship opportunities and access to a strong peer community, in order for students to achieve their highest aspirations. Vision: The Ghana Educational Collaborative envisions a time when education is accessible to all Ghanaian students. Guiding Principles: The Ghana Educational Collaborative provides: a. Academic scholarships that include: school fees, uniforms, school supplies, books, transportation fees, and food stipends. b. Mentorship opportunities through connecting students with leaders in the community, through the on-site Program Manager and peer mentors. c. Fostering a community of support through engagement with parents, schools, community members, board members, and peer groups.
