About GIFTS Foundation

GIFTS is an acronym for Global Initiative for Teachers & Students. Currently the Foundation is operational with two projects: a) "Adopted" a public school in the inner city of Islamabad, Pakistan serving 450 students. The school is being supported with improved infrastructure, additional teachers, new books, supplies and uniforms for the poorest students who are unable to afford them. The project has been a huge success in its first year. b) Upgrading the reference section of the Medical College Library in University of Zambia's medical school in Lusaka, Zambia. The project is currently collecting reference books being donated by regional hospital libraries and physicians.
