GILEAD College (N.Y.) is a prestigious educational institution with focus on administration, human resources and international non-profit management. SUBJECTS In addition to a comprehensive analysis of secular jurisdiction concepts within the context of two primary legal systems, namely Anglo-American Law and Roman Civil Law, the GILEAD College delves into the examination of legal terminology found in both the Old and New Testaments, along with ecclesiastical regulations and their relevance within modern value systems. Its emphasis extends to a spectrum of key facets, including civil and criminal law, litigation, property laws, corporate law, international law, legal remedies, and the judicious balancing of interests. At Gilead College, cultural understanding is a focal point. Discrimination, for instance, is a legally punishable act and is distinguished from prejudice, which resides in individuals' thoughts and emotions, challenging regulation. Efforts to combat prejudice must not only address discrimination but also promote a fundamental shift in attitudes toward others. CAMPUS Originally, the campus was located in South Lansing amidst an idyllic landscape. Whenever possible and appropriate, the lecturers used an amphitheater for presentations and seminars in the open air. From 1961 to ‘88 — long before the move to its present location in Patterson — the college was embedded in Brooklyn's historic district between Henry Street and Columbia Heights with its venerable and distinguished buildings. The Plymouth Bethel on Hicks Street was once on campus, as well as Henry Ward Beecher's home in Columbia Heights. From the early 80s onwards, branch schools were established in a few countries, amongst others in Germany near Frankfurt/Main. Since 1987, candidates were enrolled under special entrance prerequisites for slightly altered degree programs and were graduated with the Ministerial Training School diploma, or other degrees as a result.
