About Gilmartin Insurance Agency
Gilmartin Insurance Agency was established in 1995 in Fairport, NY. Owner Edward Gilmartin moved his family from Scranton, PA to this Rochester, NY suburb and started an insurance agency from scratch out of his home. In 1997, the agency was sold and Edward and his family moved back to their hometown of Scranton, PA where he started his insurance agency that exists today in the Upper Green Ridge section of Scranton. In 2005, Edward and his father purchased the building and had major renovations done to it. In 2006, the building won the architectural heritage good neighbor award for its improvements. The agency has now grown to over 5,000 policies. Agency owner Edward Gilmartin has won the quality agency award from Erie Insurance Group. The award is the most prestigious award given annually by Erie Insurance. Edward attributes his success from hard work, honesty and giving the best priced insurance products available in the market along with servicing his customers with the friendliest and most professional staff in the business. Owner Edward Gilmartin was quoted by saying “we sell more insurance by giving great service and getting referrals from satisfied customers than any other means of marketing”. Consequently, this has become their mission statement.
