Die GIMOTA AG mit Sitz in der Nähe von Zürich, wurde 1960 von Otto Schoch gegründet. Von Anfang an hat sich die Firma auf die Lieferung von Steckern für den Einsatz in Eisenbahnfahrzeugen spezialisiert. So zum Beispiel RUNDSTECKER und DATENSTECKER.
