About Gingerbread Manor of Clemmons
Gingerbread Manor will provide Gingerbread Decorating Workshops in Clemmons this Christmas season. Information can be found at www.GingerbreadManor.net. Decorate at one of our workshops, pick up a kit to take home, or schedule a group activity at your location. I have organized gingerbread workshops for over 15 years on a small scale as church fundraisers as well as a service to the community for local schools, Girl Scout troops, church youth groups and assisted living facilities. Moving it out of my home and renting a commercial kitchen located at Merriwood Christian Camp, will allow me to expand my client base and serve a greater segment in the community. As a community outreach, Gingerbread Manor will assist local 501(c)(3) organizations with fund raising. 501(c)(3) organizations who sign up with Gingerbread Manor as benefiting organizations, will be displayed on the website. When attendees sign up, they will select an organization to support a portion of each attendee's gingerbread sales will be contributed to the organization they have selected. These funds will be distributed 30 days after the last workshop. Groups can choose to either have their members attend the workshops scheduled at Merriwood Christian Camp, or if they want to schedule a workshop at their own location, we will bring the workshop materials to them. Baking Gingerbread is how I can bring the most joy to the world. There is something about the atmosphere when a room is filled with the aroma of fresh gingerbread. Some families work on a house as a project together. Dad is holding the icing bag envisioning how to build the front door. Mom is making an outdoor fire scene using an Oreo and Hot Tamales. The kids are sorting M&Ms by color to make a Christmas tree with decorations. All the thoughts and fears of the everyday world have melted away and have been replaced by a dream world of candy canes, gum drops, sugar & spice and everything nice.
