About Girl Gang Scotland

Entrepreneurs Anne Marie McElroy set up Girl Gang Scotland to help empower and mentor teenagers and young girls to believe in their ambitions and to help them achieve their career dreams. Enlisting the help of leading female pathfinders, Girl Gang Scotland will take their messages of inspiration and awareness directly into classrooms and colleges all over the country, helping the young girls to unlock their individual potential. The primary aim is to create a movement with the most talented and respected creatives and professionals in Scotland, teaching young girls that they can become anything they wish to be. Our goal is to open their eyes to encourage and educate young girls, promoting self-development and girl power. We want to focus on a positive mind-set, balance, self-care, goal-setting, meditation, managing stress, zero-tolerance to drugs and bullying and overall being kind and happy. We believe more can be done at school level to encourage more young women to realise their career potential. It’s not just about being academic. A lot of young women have fantastic skill sets. We’re hoping to show them through our own achievements that they have the ability to unlock those skills and use them as the building blocks to their own careers. Girl Gang Scotland has already received huge support and encouragement from several leading Scottish businessman from a number of fields, who are keen to get on board. YouTubers, Instagram influencers, bloggers, dancers, musicians, dentists, doctors, hairstylists, make-up artists, fitness gurus, spiritual teaching, models, marketing, PR brand specialists, entrepreneurial woman, athletes and many others. Girl Gang is a community and will hold events, giving young girls the opportunities to listen and learn from successful women so they can hopefully realise that nothing is impossible if you believe in yourself and have the drive to follow your aspirations in your career.
