About Girl Power

Girl Power organization is a non-profit grassroots sports entity, established in the year 2014 in Denmark. Our purpose is to use sports and education as tools to empower women and girls from all cultures and social backgrounds. What do we do? • We provide meaningful ways for women and girls to connect and thrive across Europe, The Middle East & South Asia, using sports and education. • We want to bring social change and empower women and girls to actively participate in their interests and achieve their goals. • We identify, empower and facilitate young leaders and role models who can take the initiative and use sports as a tool for social good, through local events and positive storytelling about ethnic minority women. Who we are? Girl Power is one team - a combination of individuals and partners that collaborates to help grow and deliver the impact of Girl Power across communities around the world. Where do we work? Through our work in refugee settings in Europe and vulnerable / rural areas in the Middle East and South Asia, we put the most deprived and marginalized women and girls first, helping them learn, empower and reach their full potential through sports.
