About Girl Scouts, Hornets' Nest Council
Girl Scouts is the world’s preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls where in a safe and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. The mission of Girl Scouts is “Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.” Founded in 1912, Girl Scouting provides every girl, everywhere a chance to develop leadership skills, become a vital part of the community, and build character.
