About Girls of Metropolitan Dallas
From a young age, girls are confronted with negative messages about their worth and abilities. They experience gender bias, inequality, and discrimination in their neighborhoods, classrooms, and workplaces. Most girls from low-income families have limited exposure to the opportunities and education they need to overcome barriers, achieve success, and break the cycle of poverty. WHAT WE DO Each year, Girls Inc. Dallas provides over 1,000 underserved girls, ages 6-18, with life-changing experiences and solutions to the unique social, economic and gender barriers they face. Our comprehensive programming, known as The Girls Inc. Experience, builds the skills girls need to succeed in school and in college and careers. WHO WE SERVE Each year, Girls Inc.
