About Girls on the Run Sierras
Girls on the Run is a youth development program that instills self-esteem in girls through health education, life skills development, mentoring relationships, and physical training. The after-school program meets twice a week for ten weeks and culminates in a celebratory, non-competitive 5K fun run. Girls on the Run Sierras offers a spring program in Reno/Sparks, Carson City, Truckee and the Tahoe Basin and a fall program in Reno/Sparks and Carson City. Mission: We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Vision: We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.
