About Girls Who Code @UCF
Girls Who Code at UCF is dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology and computer science. Our goal is to inspire more girls to learn coding and pursue a career in the computer science field. We value diversity, equity, and inclusion. We acknowledge that historical and institutional barriers—particularly racial bias and discrimination—play a role in the widening gender gap in computer science and who has access to opportunities in these fields. Girls Who Code focuses our work not only on gender diversity but also on young women who are historically underrepresented in computer science fields. We want to provide our members with a safe space to learn, create and become part of a supportive community that will help them achieve their personal and professional goals.
