About Glasgow Charity Fashion Show (GCFS)
Founded in 2014, Glasgow Charity Fashion Show is now Glasgow’s largest student fundraisers and creative fashion projects. With a founding mission to support and uplift local charities and organisations in the Glasgow area, GCFS proudly partners with a new charity each academic year. Charities are nominated by the public and voted for by the GCFS committee, with the aim to support a varied range of organisations that reflect the diverse communities at the heart of Glasgow. As a society, we are dedicated to championing the potential within our student body, encouraging them to innovate within the traditional framework in order to further our philanthropic activities. Throughout our fashion editorial campaigns, events and the show, we aim to work with Scottish photographers, make-up artists and hairdressers. GCFS has been published in nationwide publications including Harpers Bazaar, STV, Glasgow Online, as well as appearing on the Riverside Show, The Tab, The Skinny, The Daily Record, The Evening Times and the Scotland Re:Designed blog. Since its founding GCFS charitable campaigns have raised over £240,000 for Glasgow based Charities including; , Refuweegee, the Glasgow's Golden Generation, Simon Community Scotland, Glasgow Woman's Aid, Glasgow and Clyde Rape Crisis, Impact Arts& Children's Hospices Across Scotland. Follow us on our journey as we raise money for our next charitable partner for 2025, support students in their creative pathways and continue the legacy that is GCFS for another year.
