About Glasgow Wind Band

The Glasgow Wind Band is one of the UK's top concert bands. Formed in 1972, this multi-award winning ensemble is based in Glasgow's West End, and features many of the city's finest amateur musicians. The band performs three major concerts every year: a formal concert in the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland every Spring, a Movie themed concert as part of the West End Festival in June, and a Christmas concert at Hyndland Parish Church. In addition, the band plays several community concerts, and regularly competes at the National and Scottish Concert Band Festivals.
