About Glencarse Foods
Glencarse Foods is a 3rd Generation Scottish family business based in Perth UK with over 53 years of experience distributing fine food brands throughout the world. It all started back in in 1968 in the little commuter village of Glencarse, resting within the Carse of Gowrie. Fields of rich fertile soil reclaimed from the River Tay over a hundred years ago, are still famous today for growing lush fruits which provided the ideal situation to produce our world-famous range of curds and preserves. David Aitken, both our grandfather and founder of Glencarse Foods, made his very own homemade Lemon Curd and preserves to sell throughout the Village Shops and Hotels in the surrounding area. Not only did customers love his amazing curds and preserves and enthusiasm for gorgeous food, but they also all loved his jovial, happy, fun and enthusiastic personality, which they still talk about to this day. Grandpa’s passion for quality fine foods and for his customers has been passed down through the generations and has enabled the ongoing growth of the company. To this day we live, breathe, and share his passion throughout the company. Today we continue to bring amazing self-created products to market, along with great quality exclusive brands and a choice of proven fast selling ranges that help our customers to add value to their business.
