GLHQ | Building the Infrastructure for Equitable Invention ABOUT GLHQ is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in San Francisco, currently developing the Frontier Maker Space on the 7th floor of Frontier Tower (Berlinhouse). Our mission is to make deep technology — from hardware to AI to interdisciplinary prototyping — radically accessible. We serve as the nonprofit steward of this emerging innovation floor, focused on building real-world infrastructure for experimentation, skill-building, and collective invention. WHAT WE’RE BUILDING • A Shared Floor for Tools & Talent – A structured fabrication space with laser cutters, textile machinery, 3D printers, electronics workbenches, and more • Mission-Aligned Programming – Educational workshops, project support, and public-access activations rooted in GLHQ’s nonprofit purpose • Systems for Access & Safety – Passes, protocols, and cultural infrastructure that make making more equitable and more impactful • Partnership with Berlinhouse – Supporting the vertical village by anchoring a floor that blends hardware, art-tech, and civic prototyping OUR ROLE GLHQ’s role is to embed education, inclusion, and public benefit into the foundations of the space. We’re here to ensure that what gets built — and who gets to build — reflects a future that’s more just, creative, and technologically fluent. GET INVOLVED The floor is in active build-out. We're inviting collaborators, tool sponsors, artists and builders, future instructors, and deep tech citizens to shape it with us.
