✨ About Us Glitter Gel Pen Book Club is a fast-growing Sydney-based community reimagining the modern book club experience for women in their 20s and 30s. We bring like-minded readers together through joyful, feel-good fiction and curated meet-ups at Sydney’s most aesthetic wine bars, creating space for connection, conversation, and a little smart-girl escapism. What We Do Forget the pressure of literary classics. Our book selections celebrate the fun, flirty, and unapologetically feminine side of reading, from spicy rom-coms to emotionally unhinged slow burns and binge-worthy fantasy. Through intimate gatherings and online community spaces, we create opportunities for women to connect over books, pop culture, and the chaos of everyday life. Our Events Every four-six to six weeks, we host intimate, thoughtfully curated events where guests enjoy delicious food, natural wine, and warm, no-pressure conversations. Each event is designed to feel like the highlight of your calendar — a reason to finally visit that wine bar saved in your Notes app. Our Mission In a world that often dismisses feminine interests as frivolous, we’re proudly reclaiming joy. Glitter Gel Pen Book Club exists to celebrate smart girls who love sugary novels, aesthetic venues, and a good pop culture debrief. Our Community Founded by sisters Dr Brittany and Ellese Ferdinands, academics who’d rather debrief a plot twist over pét-nat than pretend to exclusively enjoy high-brow classics, we’re building a community that’s welcoming, accessible, and fun, whether you’re a lifelong bookworm or just here for the vibes.
