About Global AiREAS

AiREAS is a cooperation focused on creating healthy regions (air quality, human health and regional dynamics) through the creation of a Local AiREAS in which local government,local citizens, innovative technologies and scientific knowledge take responsibility together to harmonize with their environment for best wellness and sustainable progress, creating value together on project basis. Those values are subsequently expanded world wide with reciprocity for the region where it was created. 2011: The first Local AiREAS was established in the city of Eindhoven. Values created were: * a fine maze, real time air quality system (ILM) to monitor air quality as close to human activity as possible, * the multidisciplinary manner of working, based on purpose driven equality (sustainocratic venture) * the experience accumulated of working in such a way involving many citizens in the process * the continuous health and lifestyle measurement of large groups of citizens * the open data communicative interaction with the city with multiple data sources * experience on ultrafinedust 2015: The second Local AiREAS is Breda where values are added in: * seeking solutions for city heat stress in addition to air pollution * health development for city center citizens with its historic center and city dynamics Many more cities are now showing interest. Global AiREAS provides a network of knowledge and best practice sharing with access to high tech innovators, top scientists, etc. AiREAS is a STIR Foundation initiative.
