About Global First Ladies Alliance
The Global First Ladies Alliance (GFLA), supports First Ladies and First Partners, individually and collectively, in their efforts to advance positive change in their communities and around the world. The position of First Lady and First Partner is one of the most influential and visible roles on the national and world stage. Yet, it comes without a job description or with any resources. We are their support. Since 2008, our team has directly advised over 70 First Ladies and their offices on programmatic and policy initiatives, and helped facilitate productive collaborations between First Ladies and nearly 30 global institutions. We have conducted trainings to support over 150 senior advisors. We also liaise with Presidents’ offices, ministries and other cabinet officials as their agendas align.
