About Global Health Innovations
At GHI, we are passionate about caring for HIV+ mothers and their babies. We partner with the most amazing people, organizations and governments in Africa to be part of a stellar team working together to eliminate mother-to-child transmission. We design, implement and manage HIV/AIDS program utilizing the HITSystem in hospitals in urban, peri-urban and rural areas of Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, and Nigeria. We are currently partnering with NIH and KU Medical Center (NIH R01 and R34) evaluating how the HITSystem helps link HIV exposed infants to ART, as well as how the HITSystem is helping existing PMTCT programs eliminate mother-to-child transmission in East Africa. We partner with US Walter Reed (WRP) Project in Kenya and Tanzania, nearing 200 hospitals, utilizing our HITSystem. We also design medical programs and provide acute medical care for orphaned and vulnerable children. Specialties: Pediatric and Maternal HIV/AIDS program development and implementation in resource-limited countries, including Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, and Nigeria. Partner with governmental and non-governmental organizations implementing new and improving existing Early Infant Diagnosis (EID) and Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) programs. Designed the HITSystem with OnTarget and continue to implement in hospitals in Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, and Nigeria with Ministries of Health’s (MOH's), WRP, CDC, Baylor School of Medicine and KU School of Medicine.
