About Global Investment Group - St Andrews
The Global Investment Group is an Investment Finance Society at the University of St Andrews. GIG attracts the brightest students in the St Andrews community whom have an enthusiasm and passion for finance, consulting, and management. Founded in 2001, GIG is one of the largest student run societies on campus with over 400 members. Students have the opportunity to participate in our real money equity investment fund and attend a variety of events including educational seminars, speaker series and events hosted by top firms from the banking, finance and management industries. The Fund is an independent, student-run, investment group concentrated primarily in US equities and with current holdings totalling over $17,000. Our primary aim is to effectively manage risk and generate market-beating returns, while introducing our members to real-world financial analysis.
