About Global Journeys Academy

Global Journeys Academy is a private school inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education (BSID# 885651), offering Ontario Secondary School Diploma credits. For 20 years Global Journeys Academy has been designing meaningful educational-travel programs for high school students from across Canada. Our exceptional programs bring learning to life: teachers that inspire, encourage, and make learning fun; course material that is integrated and tailored to onsite locations; and onsite activities that extend learning beyond the classroom. We offer rich, challenging, and fun programs that transform a student’s learning experience. Research has shown the life-changing impact that studying abroad has on student success, not only in terms of improved academic outcomes, but also on personal development. International experiences help students develop curiosity, resilience, and tolerance, whilst encouraging positive attitudes towards civic engagement and global responsibility. The success of our school programs has led to two new branches of educational-travel: we now offer a range of specialized tours and volunteer projects for university students and lifelong learners of all ages. Our newest programs provide experiential learning opportunities that transform the way you travel: behind-the-scenes tours of archaeological, cultural, and historical sites with expert guides; learning a new skill with local masters; working with indigenous communities to forge meaningful connections.
