About Global Nursing Network for Rare Diseases
All nurses will care for someone affected by a rare or undiagnosed disease in their career. However, the level of knowledge about these diseases is often insufficient and inconsistent across health care practitioners. The Global Nursing Network for Rare Diseases (GNNRD) brings together nurses from across the world, building capacity through connection, awareness, education, leadership and advocacy to support people living with rare or undiagnosed diseases. All nurse and nursing students are invited to join the network. Launched following theinaugural‘Connecting Nurses Globally – A Roundtable in Rare and Undiagnosed Disease’ held in March 2023 in Singapore, the network has grown rapidly. Our members represent low, middle and high-income countries from North America, Africa, Europe, Asia and Oceania. This is the beginning of a movement to revolutionise rare disease care – become a part of it today.
