From its beginning as a TV documentary production company founded by Dr. Elliott Haimoff, Global Science Productions has a long history of producing over 200 space, science and nature documentaries, as well as news science segments, that have been broadcast in the U.S. and over 35 countries worldwide. For two years after joining the staff of the Los Angeles-area PBS-TV station, Dr. Haimoff wrote and produced numerous 5-minute segments and 30-minute documentaries on scientific subjects ranging from the fringes of the cosmos to the sub-atomic components of electrons, protons, and neutrons. The programs produced by Dr. Haimoff spanned the entire spectrum of science. The beginning of the universe at the time of the big bang was explored through the study of cosmic background radiation in “The Universe Revised.” Black holes, cold dark matter, and quasars were the subjects of “Matter of Fact.” In addition, early programs on DNA fingerprinting and the future of computers in our society proved to be prophetic. He has also profiled the plight of California Condors and Orangutans, as well as the dangers posed by excessive tropical rain forest destruction. The tremendous response and success of this science TV series resulted in two Los Angeles-area Emmys awarded to the series in 1989 and 1990. Dr. Haimoff and his production team have recently produced full-length documentaries on some of the most controversial topics facing society today, including stem cell therapy, regenerative medicine in both humans and animals, the Chinese COVID virus, human cloning, genetic engineering of food crops, solving world hunger, and our future destiny in space. For over 30 years now, Dr. Haimoff has written and produced dozens of award-winning science, space, medical and nature documentaries for broadcast by PBS stations in the United States and dozens of other TV stations worldwide.
