About Global Sojourns Giving Circle
Global Sojourns Giving Circle (GSGC) provides grants to community-based organizations run by dynamic changemakers who provide mentorship toyouth,with a focus on empowering girls and theultimate goalof breaking the cycle of deep poverty. Since 2007, when GSGC was born, we have been devoted to helping African girls rise above complex barriers, to be seen, heard and believed in and to live a life of dignity. From day one, we have been committed to ensuring that these girls have access to education and opportunities to create a better future for themselves, their families and communities. Our local partners, both women and men, understand these barriers best. Because gender equality will only happen if males support equal education and opportunities for girls, our grants also support boys. GSGC-supported boys club members have begun are learning the importance and value of empowered girls, and are talking to village leaders about supporting equal education. As we have worked alongside these generous local leaders, we have been listening. Their voices have guided our every step.
