About Global Ties Nebraska

Global Ties Nebraska, formally known as the Lincoln Council for International Visitors (LCIV), is a non-profit organization in Lincoln, Nebraska dedicated to activities that foster relationships and cultural understanding with international guests who visit Lincoln as a part of U.S. State Department-sponsored programs. Each visiting program revolves around a specific theme, and these visiting leaders are usually in Lincoln for only a few days. We arrange professional meetings, school visits. cultural activities, and home hospitality dinners for our distinguished visiting international leaders with the goal of connecting them to Citizen Diplomats in our community. It is through these types of personal connections that the most positive and beneficial forms of international diplomacy and intercultural understanding are realized, and we serve as the community link making that happen.
