About Glow Ymca

The YMCA is an international Christian-based, mission-driven, nonprofit, 501(c) 3 organization governed by lay volunteers and operated by a professional staff serving in over 150 countries. The YMCA is a membership focused organization that provides programs and services to its general membership and the public. More specifically, the GLOW YMCA operates under a general understanding of purpose and is affiliated with the YMCA of the USA. Started in 1889 as a YMCA Chapter in Batavia, the GLOW YMCA has grown to include branches in three counties, numerous school age childcare sites, and oversite of several municipal summer recreation programs. Through various programs, the YMCA creates experiences that nurture the healthy development of children, encourage positive behavior in teens, and strengthen families. The result can be seen in our communities becoming stronger, healthier, and safer places to live.
