About Go Beyond

We are Go Beyond, and we give respite breaks in the British countryside to children who live in seriously challenging circumstances. Like us, you know the benefits of a ‘getting away from it all’ and taking some time out. For these children, a week away can change their lives – forever. We are a small national charity tackling some of the UKs biggest societal challenges through our work with children who desperately need a break. These are children who care for their ill mums and dads, children who worry about where their next meal will come from, children who struggle to make friends. Some have fled from war zones; others face them in their own home. They are lonely, isolated and suffering at school because of the heavy burdens they face. We firmly believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, unburdened from the shackles of inequality, tragedy, or instability. Go Beyond puts magic into their lives, through our innovative and inspirational holidays with no screens and time spent outdoors. Our residential breaks span five transformative days, breaking the day-to-day cycle of the challenges and worries the children face at home. Unlike other interventions which only last for a few hours or a day, our approach allows the children to experience true respite. For one week, they pack their troubles away and discover a life that’s full of fun, laughter and imagination. And when it’s all over, they go home with memories that last a lifetime.
