We distribute water filters to communities who are in need of a basic human need; clean water. We assess every potential project based on potential local leadership and project logistics, AND we provide 4 total visits to each recipient, making sure they know how to operate their filter - which lasts for up to 20 years! We believe in RELIEF, SUSTAINABILITY and DEVELOPMENT. Did you know?: Girls under the age of 5 are TWICE as likely as boys to be the family member responsible for fetching water. That 80% of ALL illnesses in the developing world comes from waterborne diseases? Nearly 1 out of 5 deaths under the age of 5 worldwide, is due to a water-related issue. Nearly 2 MILLION people in Haiti and 1/3 of the WORLD do not have access to clean water. The go.build.love FILTER removes 99.999% of all bacteria, such as E.coli, salmonella, and cholera. It also removes 99.999% of all protozoan cysts, including Giardia, cryptosporidium and other protozoa. In other words, our filters make water clean and safe! Two weeks after using the gbl filter, 95% of people experience improvement to illnesses caused by consuming dirty water. We employ LOCAL field staff in Haiti, Dominican Republic and Malawi, Africa - bringing hope to locals who in invest in their own communities. Our impact SO FAR: 6456 Filters distributed, 10,913 follow-ups completed, 1295 heart changes/salvations, 10 buildings built, 19,472 discipled in their new faith, a total of 34,631 people impacted!
