Bob Heath has 30 years worldwide experience in the offshore industry as Commercial / Business Development Manager and Director for several major international vessel operators and service companies. He is now, through his privately-owned GoConsultGlobal organisation, a successful private consultant to various service companies and oil majors. Experience includes: Managing the commercial activities of marine operating companies worldwide including in Nigeria, other parts of West Africa, the UAE and Mexico. Business planning; identification and evaluation of new business opportunities; building customer relationships; bidding and tendering; winning and implementing new business. Setting up of corporate presences in new areas worldwide including: opening companies; optimising tax structures; locating local partners and formulating agreements with them; installing management systems and controls; generally understanding and managing the impact of the political and social environment on the operations. Market Analysis, Strategic Planning and Asset Management. Vessel sale, purchase and newbuilding activity including contract negotiation with owners and shipyards. Provision of contractual and commercial advice to consultancy clients. Renegotiation and reorganisation of existing contracts to restore/improve profitability. Strategic analysis of vessel and service needs for oil companies, formulating tender documents, evaluating offers and managing all aspects of the acquisition of the required vessels and services.
