About Gogebic Medical Care Facility
Gogebic Medical Care Facility provides skilled nursing and long-term care services to the residents of Gogebic County and the surrounding area. The nursing staff works with an interdisciplinary team which includes the physician, our own Rehabilitation Team, Maintenance Therapy, Dietary, Social Services, and Activity Departments which provide a holistic approach to quality care. Our staffing ratio far exceeds the state minimum. The nursing caregivers includes Certified Nursing Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Registered Nurses. Nursing care is provided around the clock, in a warm and friendly environment, by a staff that is dedicated to fulfilling each resident’s social, spiritual, and physical needs. Our professional staff strives to help each resident reach their highest level of independence, while maintaining comfort and safety. We consider ourselves a teaching facility, and ensure the best nursing practices through a staff development program that focuses on forward thinking approaches to providing quality care. We are proud of our role as the Regional State Test Site for Certified Nursing Assistants for the Western Upper Peninsula.
