About Golden Hare Books
The Golden Hare is a little literary gem in the heart of Edinburgh's historic Grassmarket. Fresh, artsy and carefully curated, we're a dynamic Indie with lots to offer! The shop stocks an exquisite range of hand-selected fiction, non-fiction, poetry, art and graphic novel titles, and we've also got a fantastic children's section. Our quirky picture books and extensive design and graphics sections are also a reflection of the Art College around the corner. Our aim is to bring readers books which offer thought-provoking content and beautiful design. More than just a bookstore, we're a concept space. We host art exhibits by local talent, showcase the work of emerging illustrators and have a range of funky gift stock by the likes of Midori.
