Golden State MD was incorporated in 2016 building upon five years of service to the San Francisco and Sacramento community provided by Physicians Medical Evaluations, Inc - a partnership between Ahimsa Porter Sumchai, MD - President and corporate owner and David Springett, Ph.D - Administrative Director of Clinical Services and Digital Operations and Telemedicine Platforms expert. Golden State MD Health & Wellness expanded to a San Francisco location at along with remote care and advanced telemedicine operations sited in Sacramento and San Francisco. Services include telehealth and office based sports medicine and alternative therapy, physical medicine and rehabilitation, preventive medicine,nutrition counseling, NSCA certified Strength & Conditioning, research consulting and advanced telemedicine services for California State Medical Marijuana Program authorizations, hereditary cancer screening and prescriptions for non controlled topicals, medications and durable medical equipment. Dr. Sumchai completed a two year research and clinical postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University and serves as Principal Investigator for the Hunters Point Community Biomonitoring Program - funded by the David & Lucile Packard Foundation and licensed by the Medical Board of California to provide voluntary, low cost, reliable urine toxicological screenings to residents and workers at the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard - a federal Superfund site.
