Goliath Tipper Bodies is the innovator of 8-wheel, 20-ton lightweight tipper truck bodies that use high-density polyethylene (HDPE) as a core component material. The total energy required to manufacture the shell of Goliath truck bodies is substantially less than that for traditional all-steel bodies, resulting in overall CO2 emissions by up to 95%. The manufacturing process is also lean and requires less machinery than conventional truck body manufacturing. Tipper truck body-building firms who introduce this design and methodology into their truck body assembly plants in the future will benefit from substantially increased productivity output resulting from this much more agile and safer production process. End users of Goliath tipper truck bodies will benefit from one especially important safety feature which is the heart of our design. Goliath tipper trucks are much less likely to topple over during load discharging (tipping) because the lower frictional drag between the payload and the plastic truck base and sides means that loads can usually be ‘tipped off’ without having to extend the tipping ram to its full extent.
